in≈ Comments Off on Rose with Rosebud Pin in Sterling Silver
My newest creation was suggested by my cousin’s wife who asked me to make her a rose pin. I had made a rose bangle, and recently a rose ring, but never a pin. She wanted one with a rosebud as well. Here it is. This pin is for you, Sheila. Thank you.

I have handstamped all of the design elements on these pieces which have been sawed from metal sheet, filed, and soldered to create pins, pendants, bracelets, and earrings.

in≈ Comments Off on Sterling Silver Flower Pendants
My new pendants are flowers (rose, magnolia, calla lily) created from sterling silver sheet. They were sawed and soldered, and the petal edges burnished. Come see them at Sabai Jewelry Gallery in Baton Rouge, at the Baton Rouge Arts Market where they will make their debut the first Saturday of September, and at the 2015 Chimneyville show (Dec. 3, 4, 5) at the Trade Mart in Jackson, MS.

in≈ Comments Off on A Mother/Daughter Necklace
This necklace was started by my daughter in a college jewelry class but never finished. She had sawed out the piece and soldered the bail. But it only made it into a box of her unfinished pieces and has been long since forgotten. I found it recently and finished it with a stone I had that fit her bezel perfectly. I added the smaller bezel set gemstones (amethyst, her birthstone; opal, mine), handstamped it with a floral design, and scalloped the bezels around all of the stones to give the piece what I thought looked more “floral” to match my stampings. I etched both of our names on the back of the backplate as creators and designers and sent it to my daughter for a gift. She loves it.
